On the Move!

We've had a very eventful year so far.

In March we purchased a penthouse apartment in Milton.

We then spent 5 months waiting for the new kitchen to be installed.

As luck would have it, our son is a master craftsman and he created a fantastic kitchen to my specifications.

Then, a few days after our 50th Wedding Anniversary on 12 August, we finally moved in.

For the last 6 months we have been working tirelessly to downsize our years of accumulated treasures. A soul destroying task, as we realise there is no room for sentimentality when you try to fit a everything from four-bedroom home plus art studio into a three-bedroom apartment.

Luckily I stumbled upon this gem, Nobody Wants your Sh*t

It helped me come to terms with my hoarding, hmmm, collecting habit ;-) and it put into perspective the value of sentimental detritus. While it didn't make the process any quicker, I did manage to donate a ton of stuff. Put it this way; we now have the Salvos on speed dial. 

Since moving into the apartment, we have spent almost every waking moment working to stage our family home for sale. We are quietly confident of a quick sale.
